In expected fashion, Brit soul singer Adele took the 2012 Grammys by storm after returning from her throat surgery. She performed her multi-nominated “Rolling In The Deep” in top form and snagged six awards including Best Record Of The Year and Best Album of the Year for 21.

The Grammys also raked in their highest ratings since 1982 with 39.9 million viewers with the tribute to late singer Whitney Houston. Jennifer Hudson performed an admirable rendition of “I Will Always Love You,” shone under a single spotlight on stage.

Another highlight included Rihanna and Coldplay’s dual performance of “We Found Love,” “Princess Of China” and “Paradise.”

One extreme miss of the night came courtest of the unsuspecting Nicki Minaj who debuted her single “Roman Holiday,” bringing the Pope along as her arm candy.

WATCH: Nicki Minaj “Stupid Hoe”

Nicki Minaj goes stupid with this vibrant Hype Williams-directed visual for “Stupid Hoe” off her sophomore effort Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. Minaj also announced via Twitter Friday night that she will be pushing back the release of her second album.

New Album Date: April 3rd. Pink Friday: ROMAN RELOADED. But have no fear. Tons of surprises before then ;). Love Always, HB

With Grammy season around the corner, the delay may be a strategic move for the Young Money maven.

The video also hints at a possible 2012 Super Bowl performance, which could mean sharing the stage with Madonna, who lip locked the pinkstress on her birthday in December.

Regardless, this should hold Lil Kim‘s Barbz’ attention for now.

Nicki Minaj Barbie To Be Auctioned For Charity

It was only a matter of time before Mattel thought to put Nicki Minaj in plastic form.

The creator behind the beloved girls’ plaything Barbie now has a one-of-one doll of the female rapper that will be reportedly up for grabs at charitybuzz.com on Dec. 7. Proceeds will benefit the Project Angel Food Charity that provides food for those affected with HIV/Aids. The bids begin at $1,000.

“Barbie is obviously a pop culture icon…And Nicki is a big part of pop culture and also huge within the fashion industry, as well as a big Barbie fan,” said Barbie spokeswoman Stefani Yocky. “It’s really exciting for us that she’s been so generous to allow us to create this one-of-a-kind doll to support such an important cause.”

The doll is a pint-size mirror image of the Young Money diva as she appeared on her Pink Friday album cover in all-pink everything. She joins the list of stars including Janet Jackson and Rachel Zoe, who all had special edition dolls designed of them for the charity.

Bids can be placed on the Harajuku barbie till Dec. 19.

The recent two-time American Music Award winner for favorite hip-hop/rap album and favorite hip-hop/rap artist was named Billboard’s “Rising Star” for 2011.

“I am deeply honored to be recognized by Billboard,” Minaj said in a statement. “My nation of Barbz and I have come a mighty long way-yet we are nowhere close to where God will take us. Sit back and enjoy the ride.”

She also dropped her new teaser single, channeling her alter-ego, from her sophomore effort Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded due Valentine’s Day 2012.
