Adele Sweeps the 2012 Grammys, Jennifer Hudson Performs Whitney Tribute

In expected fashion, Brit soul singer Adele took the 2012 Grammys by storm after returning from her throat surgery. She performed her multi-nominated “Rolling In The Deep” in top form and snagged six awards including Best Record Of The Year and Best Album of the Year for 21.

The Grammys also raked in their highest ratings since 1982 with 39.9 million viewers with the tribute to late singer Whitney Houston. Jennifer Hudson performed an admirable rendition of “I Will Always Love You,” shone under a single spotlight on stage.

Another highlight included Rihanna and Coldplay’s dual performance of “We Found Love,” “Princess Of China” and “Paradise.”

One extreme miss of the night came courtest of the unsuspecting Nicki Minaj who debuted her single “Roman Holiday,” bringing the Pope along as her arm candy.
