After a well-deserved 17-14 victory over the New England Patriots in Indianapolis during Super Bowl XLVI, the New York Giants took the Vince Lombardi trophy home and put a ring on it.
New York city is hosting a Giant ticker-tape parade Tuesday morning through Broadway’s Canyon of Heroes.
“Big Blue gave us a game to remember, and on Tuesday we’re going to give them a parade to remember,”said Mayor Michael Bloomberg, a Boston native who attended the game Sunday.
The parade will begin at Battery Place and Washington St. at 11 a.m. and continue north up the Canyon of Heroes to Worth St.
It will be followed by a ceremony at City Hall when Hizzoner will again present the Giants with the keys to the city.
