Live. Love. Iggy?
It seems like the hip-hop blogs are buzzing with all things Aussie this morning in the form of Iggy Azalea, the white lady rapstress from Down Under. In an interview with VIBE (and my homegirl Niki McGloster), Azalea shares the tale of the ink dedicated to the A$AP mob star.
VIBE: Okay, so we have to talk about the A$AP tattoo. What’s the story behind that?
Iggy: Ugh, it’s hard to say without getting myself in trouble. [Laughs]
Say as much as you can.
I don’t know how to put it. It’s like… I… I don’t know… I love him and that’s all there is to it. We have our own thing going on and I’m not the only one that [got the tattoos]. I’ll tell you that. [Laughs] I’m just the only one with it on my fingers!
Rumors speculating the bottle-shaped beauty’s record deal with Def Jam also spammed the web after several tweets from Iggy herself and the label’s VP Bu Thiam hit timelines last night.
In case you’re catching up with the rest of the world on female rap’s newest problem, you should take a listen to her Ignorant Art.
And while you’re at it, check out the monochrome video for her latest single “The Last Song.”
